1. What Platinum Invest is — and is not

Platinum Invest is an education, analysis and referral platform. We provide educational courses, analytical tools, and information about investment opportunities offered by independent third-party providers.

Platinum Invest is not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, fund manager, portfolio manager, exempt market dealer, crowdfunding portal or transaction or execution platform. We do not hold or transfer investor funds, execute or arrange investments, manage portfolios, sell or distribute securities, or provide personalized financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Nothing on the Services is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any security or investment product.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter into a binding agreement.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One person may not hold multiple accounts to obtain benefits intended for one member, and accounts may not be shared or resold.

3. Memberships, pricing and payments

Explorer membership is free. Additional access, such as Platinum Professional membership and individual course access, is offered on the terms shown to you at the time of access.

Online checkout for Platinum Professional membership and paid course purchases is not currently available. Prices shown on the website are stated in US dollars (USD) and may change before checkout launches. If and when paid checkout is introduced, the price, billing period, taxes, cancellation and refund terms will be shown to you before you pay and will form part of these Terms. We do not store payment card details; payments, when available, will be handled by a third-party payment processor.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any membership level or feature. Where a change materially reduces something you have already paid for, we will address it fairly under the terms that applied when you purchased.

4. The Platinum Academy and certificates

Course content is provided for general educational purposes. It is not personalized to your circumstances and is not professional advice. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view Academy content for your own learning.

A certificate of completion confirms that the account holder completed the requirements of a specific Platinum Invest course. It is not an academic credential, professional designation, licence or qualification, and it does not indicate that you are qualified or authorized to give investment advice. We may revoke a certificate that was obtained through misuse of the Services or in error.

Course completion, quiz results and certificates depend on you completing the required lessons and assessments yourself. You must not use automated tools, workarounds or the accounts of others to obtain progress, scores or certificates.

5. Analytical tools

The Property Analyzer and other tools produce estimates and illustrations based on the information you enter and on general assumptions. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate, are not verified, and are not a valuation, appraisal, forecast, guarantee or advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for independently verifying all figures and assumptions with qualified professionals before making any decision.

6. Third-party opportunities and links

Investment opportunities, providers, partners and other third-party content are supplied by independent parties. A listing is not an endorsement, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, suitability or performance of anything offered by a third party. Any investment or purchase is made directly with the third party, subject to its own terms, eligibility requirements, disclosures and legal obligations. We are not a party to those transactions and are not responsible for them.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services unlawfully, or to defraud, harass or mislead others;
• attempt to access accounts, data or systems that you are not authorized to access, or probe, scan or test the Services for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
• interfere with the Services, bypass access controls or usage limits, or use bots, scrapers or automated means to access them;
• copy, redistribute, resell or publicly share Academy content, resources or reports except as expressly permitted;
• submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that contains malware.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of the information and files you submit, such as property details, notes, goals and support messages. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to operate and improve the Services for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

The Services, including the Platinum Invest name, logos, courses, tools, software and design, are owned by Platinum Invest or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

Investing involves risk, including the loss of some or all of your capital. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Platinum Invest and its owners, directors, personnel, instructors and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or investment value, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services or any third-party opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose and CAD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove content, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice on the website. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you, the courts located in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
